Building future-ready innovators.
Empowering youth through robotics and AI education.
CARAT (Canadian Association for Robotics, AI & Technology) is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing K–12 STEM education. We design hands-on programs, train teachers, and support competitions that help students turn ideas into real-world innovation.

What We Do

We envision a future where every student — regardless of background, geography, or resources — can access high-quality STEM education that empowers them to imagine and build a better world.
At CARAT, we see robotics and artificial intelligence not just as subjects to study, but as creative instruments that transform the way young people learn, collaborate, and solve problems. By bringing these technologies into classrooms and community labs, we help students understand how machines think, how data drives decisions, and how innovation can improve lives.
Through hands-on engineering challenges, coding projects, and mentorship programs, students explore the full lifecycle of technology — from ideas and design to testing and real-world application. They learn to combine logic with empathy, precision with imagination, and science with human purpose.
Our mission is to cultivate a new generation of innovators, engineers, and changemakers who can harness robotics and AI to address global issues — from sustainability and accessibility to communication and health.
Every robot built, every algorithm trained, and every collaboration formed is a step toward a future where technology serves humanity — responsibly, creatively, and inclusively.
🤖 Robotics Programs
Hands-on robotics courses and workshops for K–12 students, including VEX, FRC, and coding fundamentals.
🧠 AI & Technology
Project-based learning in artificial intelligence, sensors, data, and emerging technologies.
🏆 Competitions & Community
Supporting and hosting robotics competitions to foster teamwork, leadership, and community impact.

Meet CARTLAB — Our FRC Team
CARTLAB is the official FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team operated by CARAT. We bring together students, mentors, and engineers to design, build, and program advanced robots that compete on a global stage.
Beyond competition, CARTLAB is a place where ideas turn into real engineering. Students learn mechanical design, programming, control systems, and teamwork — skills that prepare them for future careers in technology and innovation.
